Have I told you how much I love holidays? Even those national day holidays- yes, I love them all, and February is a month packed full of them.
Starting with Pet Dental Health month!
This past year we focused a lot on our dental health as a family and I’m excited to team up with WHIMZEES® to celebrate and focus on Rocco’s teeth!
Rocco just turned 4 in October and as a Schnauzer we worry a lot about his diet and keeping him healthy. Schnauzers are a little sensitive to many things and are considered to be a little high maintenance when it comes to health, so we watch this closely!
We try to feed him chicken nibbles only as they are lower in fat than any other kind and watch his allergies with shampoos and sprays! So when it came to his teeth, we could only pick the best! Just like in humans, healthy teeth say a lot about his overall health. In fact, dental disease is the #1 health issue for dogs, and 80% of adult dogs have dental disease, which could mean other health issues down the road.
WHIMZEES® are low in sugar, have a very low ingredient list, are easy to digest, and help reduce plaque. It is recommended to feed your dog one chew per day and to always have fresh water available when feeding the chew to them. WHIMZEES® products should be given under supervision to ensure the treat is adequately chewed.
Depending on your dog size, you’ll be able to get him exactly what he or she needs. In our case, Rocco is a miniature Schnauzer so we got him the XS Brushzees® during our weekly trip to Target. You can get your dog their Valentine’s day gift as well at your local Target or Meijer! With Valentine’s Day coming up we got him his own mini basket that included WHIMZEES® treats for his snack jar and Valentine’s Day bandana. Can you tell how much he loved it? Poor guy, he and Lester are out-numbered!
He enjoyed his WHIMZEES® so much and now we get to enjoy him a little longer and of course good-smelling breath!
