Last year it was our first school year, Pre-k, and we started a new tradition with Bella that we will hopefully get to continue with both of our girls! Our children are growing up and I cannot even think of the idea of them being 18 but Cami just turned 2 and Bella is turning 6 in a couple of weeks.
Though this year has been a rocky year for many as we have been dealing with virtual learning, another school year is coming to an end and I wanted to share this so you too can do it with your babies! A close friend shared this idea and I proudly got to signed it as I babysat all of her sweet kiddos, and once Bella started school I just had to do the same.
Dr. Seuss has a precious book called ” Oh the places you’ll go” that celebrates milestones and tells our kids to continue and keep trying no matter how difficult things get! This book alone makes me tear up but here is the tradition and how you can do it as well!
At the end of each school year, we give the book to our kid’s teachers and have them sign it, and write a short note. This year Bella’s Kinder teacher will sign it and it’s my goal to continue this tradition all the way to high school!
In a couple of years, you’ll look back and have this beautiful memory to look back on!
We also shot this little photoshoot in our back yard and Bella loved it too!
Here is all you need for your little ones if you want to start this tradition as well!
- “Oh the places you’ll go”
- Party Poppers
- Cap and Gown
- Chalkboard – You can find similar at Target near the end of the school year.
