Summer is here and so are all the fun activities and parties! Whether regular family BBQs or 4th of July parties there is something so special about summer! Now, if Texas would only cooperate with the heat! It’s been excruciating the last few days, but that’s definitely a post for another day!
Now, I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I now have a child in school but lately, the last two summers have flown by, and this year I’m determined to make it last and make it as fun as possible! It can be really hard for any working parent whether working outside or inside the home but I’ve come up with a very fun and special summer bucket list that I think we can all work on!
This summer will be my first as a stay-at-home mom and I cannot wait to make it the best for our girls! That said as always I want to make sure this post is also doable for the everyday mom who is feeling the recession and the crazy times we are living so, yes this one is also for you!
I’ve come up with this Summer bucket list to help us appreciate the simpler days while also enjoying the summer to the fullest! You can add as many items as you want or remove a few if they don’t fit your family’s wishlist!
Also, don’t forget to shoot a few pictures to add to your summer book!
We have actually completed a few of these already since Bella’s summer started a few weeks ago and I will share about it all!

Homemade Pizza
Pizza is definitely one of those times we can easily pick up but the fun of making the pizza from beginning to end is an experience our girls love and hey, one lunch off my list!
We used Jus- Rol for the first time for this pizza recipe and the dough is amazing! Super delicious and extremely easy to clean, which if you are a parent is a game-changer on its own!
The girls only added cheese, which is obvious but it was really good and they had so much fun making it!
Eat Watermelon
I told you this bucket list would be a breeze, right! I love watermelon and somewhere deep in my archives, there is a picture of both girls eating watermelon for the first time! Watermelon is such a summer staple and you probably already had it on your grocery list as is a seasoned fruit!
Bake a special treat
Continuing with the cooking theme, I wanted to introduce the girls to more Cuban food and I made our famous Guava empanadas and they were a total hit! We used the Jus-Rol Puff pastry dough and they came out just beautiful and tasted amazing! I love that with Jus-Rol we can make the easiest or most complicated treats and it’s easy to clean up and taste amazing! And did I mention easy clean-up?!
Now it’s your turn, visit your local grocery store and find Jus-Rol in the freezer dairy section and share what you made!
